Newport School of Innovation

Sergeant Chris White of the Newport Police Department visited Newport School of Innovation, accompanied by his German Shepherd K9 partner, Dixon. During his visit, Sergeant White provided students with an overview of his educational background and professional experience in law enforcement. He discussed the training, responsibilities, and commitments required in his role, offering valuable insight into the field of police work. Students also observed Dixon follow commands with precision and learned about his extensive obedience training. In addition, students were informed that Dixon originates from Hungary and is trained to respond to commands given in Dutch.
